Canberra Grand Final - Friday 25th!

Canberra’s most beautiful catwalk models, sourced from three weeks of heats, will be competing to win the Canberra Grand Final. The winner will go on to compete at the National Final in Melbourne at Peninsula Docklands.

The September 25 Grand Final will be covered by the official fashiontv film crew (and will be aired on fashiontv) & Square, an international lifestyle magazine based around all things stylish and cool (http://squa.re)

The event will feature:

ftv Diamond Model Awards Canberra

Leading international fashion television channel, fashiontv (ftv) will officially launch its quest for the jewel in catwalk modelling this month. The Fashion tv Diamond Model Awards is a unique, world class catwalk model search launched in Australia. The spectacle will attract the country’s most talented models to high-end venues starting from 28th of August through to the national grand final on the 2nd of November.

Zanebono is excited to announce that Meche Nightclub are the exclusive Canberra licensed partner with fashiontv, and will be hosting the 2009 event for the territory. The Canberra heats begin Friday 4th September at Meche Nightclub, followed by two more heats on Friday 11th and 18th, and the Canberra grand final held on Friday September 24th.

Contestants will be judged in categories of swimwear and eveningwear under the watchful eye of an ftv-certified panel of judges, as they compete for the prestigious title of Miss ftv Canberra. In true ftv style Meche will host an official "We Love ftv" party at the final - featuring fashiontv models, judges, celebrity guests, photographers and industry representatives.

The winner of each venue final will compete in the National grand final to be held in one of Melbourne’s most glamorous venues, Peninsula at Docklands, on Monday November 2nd, the eve of the Melbourne Cup.

The winner of the competition will be crowned Australia’s first ever fashiontv Diamond Model and will receive a prize package worth in excess of $100,000. Broadcasting in 202 countries to over 300 million households, ftv has the potential to catapult the winner of the fashiontv Diamond Model Awards into the most revered fashion circles around the globe.

Registration

Contestants can apply:

  • Online at www.diamondmodels.com.au and ensure all sections are completed accurately.
  • In person at Zanebono. Proof of identity, age, and Australian citizenship should be provided as well as a copy of the registration confirmation email once registered online (see below for details).

The full competition terms and conditions are also available in the above link and must be signed, read and understood before any application can be accepted.

The venue coordinator will verify applications and, once applicants have been deemed qualified to enter and selected to proceed further in the competition, they will be contacted and will receive a contestant brief outlining the program and requirements.

The fashiontv Diamond Model Awards allows Canberra sponsors to target the Canberra market, while also providing a platform for brand exposure on a nation level. The grand final after party will be promoted as an exclusive affair, attended by a fashion-savvy clientele attracted to the hype and association with the fashiontv brand.
